Hi! I am completing the last few months (finally!) of my Graduate Dipolma of Education (Secondary). I also hold a BA in English and Creative Arts. I have tutored in high school english and drama for a number of years, and have always been a child of the arts. I have a passion for literature as well as all forms of performing arts and cannot wait to share this passion with the next generation. I was a competitive dancer for 16 years, and have also acted in shows ranging from shakespeare, to musicals, to a university children's theatre tour in South East Asia. I generally prefer to work backstage, and now earn my "living" as a lighting designer and theatre technician both on campus at Murdoch University, as well as at Burswood Entertainment Complex. I have had the opportunity to work backstage on professional and semi-professional shows, concerts and plays of all shapes and sizes, from a variety of different cultures, which has only furthered my passion and appreciation for performing arts. My only regret in life would be having absolutly no musical talent, and very little disipline! People tell me I am a bit of a drama queen, and I guess that is certainly not too far off the money! |
